Faded Granite Mock Croc Crystal Prong Belt
Now I know what you're thinking — grey in summer? But let me tell you why this works, and works beautifully.
Cocco Tequila is a crocodile-effect leather with a Gaucho finish — gently faded, sun-bleached in quality, with a softness in the hand that feels far more luxurious than the texture suggests. Here's what a scaled texture does that smooth leather can't: it catches and holds colour differently across its surface, so the belt has a natural depth and variation to it. Light sits differently in the recesses of each scale. The overall effect is richer, more layered, more interesting — without being louder. On a granite colourway that Gaucho finish gives the whole thing a coolness that's almost ethereal — pale, calm, quietly luminous. In summer it floats. Against the deeper tones of autumn it lifts.
The buckle is where this combination really takes flight. The frame is arrowhead-shaped — tapered and purposeful — but it's the surface that stops you. A deeply mottled, pitted texture across the entire form, almost organic in quality, like something found rather than made. Set into that surface, fumé Swarovski crystals catch the light in that particular smoky, champagne-tinged way that feels grown-up rather than gaudy. There's a western spirit to the design, but filtered through something altogether more refined.
Wear it with white linen in summer and the whole combination feels effortless. Come autumn, put it against a monochrome outfit — all grey, all black — and that buckle does exactly the right amount of work. Not too much. Just enough.
Made one at a time in our small Spanish atelier, by people who understand that the right belt at the right moment is never an accident.
