Sunflower Mock Croc Reef Knot Belt

If I was going to make a case for yellow — and I am — then this combination is one of my strongest arguments. Our Bacall style in Sunflower Cocco Jenny leather with our aged gold reef knot buckle is warm, confident and completely considered. The gold doesn't contrast with the Sunflower so much as deepen it, the aged finish bringing a richness to the whole belt that a bright or polished gold simply wouldn't deliver. Together they feel like they've always belonged to each other.

The reef knot form is one I keep returning to — open and interlaced, it sits along the belt rather than interrupting it, letting the Sunflower leather show through the frame so nothing is lost. The combination of smooth and rope-twist textures on the buckle plays beautifully against the three-dimensional caiman surface of the Cocco Jenny below — scale against knot, texture answering texture at every turn.

The Cocco Jenny itself deserves a moment. A caiman crocodile effect leather with a wonderfully varied surface — the larger belly scales mixing with finer spine textures, the dark veins threading through the Sunflower ground and giving the colour a depth and complexity that makes it infinitely easier to wear than a flat yellow ever could be. This is a belt that adds texture and warmth to an outfit in equal measure.

For men, worn with dark denim or olive trousers and a simple shirt, the warmth of the gold and yellow does something quietly spectacular. For women it's a brilliant statement piece — over a dress, through white or cream, or wherever you want a single shot of something golden and alive.
