Sometimes the best combinations are the ones that feel completely obvious in hindsight. Our Hepburn style in Corda Lux leather has a surface that looks hand-woven, and pairing it with a buckle whose frame is cast in a chain maille effect feels less like a design decision and more like a natural conclusion. Texture answering texture. The interlaced pattern of the leather and the chunky, interlocked links of the buckle frame are speaking exactly the same language.

The buckle itself has a wonderfully raw, artisanal quality to it — the chain maille frame in an aged silver finish giving it a weight and character that a polished buckle simply wouldn't bring here. It's not fancy, and that's precisely the point. It's honest, considered and completely right for this leather.

At 40mm the Corda Lux really comes into its own — the woven surface broad enough to make a proper impression, soft and tactile underhand, with that natural leather quality that improves with every wear. For men this is a brilliant casual belt — worn with jeans, chinos or relaxed shorts, the white keeps it fresh and the texture keeps it interesting. For women it works just as hard, through loops or over a dress, the chain maille adding an edge that stops it feeling overly delicate.
