Narrow Cognac Supple Flat C Belt

We named this style Grant after Cary Grant, and it's not hard to see why — effortless, elegant, and somehow entirely unbothered by trying too hard. He shared the screen with plenty of leading ladies who had exactly that same quality, Grace Kelly chief among them, and I think that's the right way to picture this belt: it works just as well whoever's wearing it, unisex in the truest sense rather than as an afterthought.

This new smooth cognac toned vegetable tanned leather, unlined and with just a hint of sheen, fits that brief perfectly. It's a little less thick than some of our other unlined belts, which makes it extra soft and pliable, and noticeably lighter around the waist too. The slight gloss keeps it smart rather than rustic, and the rich cognac colour is warming and complex, carrying hues of both brown and orange rather than sitting as one flat tone — handle it a little and you'll start to see a lovely tonal pull-up effect that shows off just how good this leather really is.

The buckle is gold, an open, flowing C-shape with a distinctly equestrian heritage to its curve — the kind of line you'd trace back to a stirrup or a horseshoe, reworked here with a smooth, contemporary polish rather than anything rustic. It's got a sculptural, almost jewellery-like quality against the warmth of the cognac. Every belt is still handcrafted in our small Spanish atelier, where a small team takes the time needed to get details like this right rather than rushing them.
